Deut.31: 1-8
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8
You will agree with me that whenever we are faced with difficult situations beyond our comprehension we tend to think that all hope is lost. From our text above, Moses tried to give comfort to Joshua and the people of God because he knew that at that very moment Joshua and the people thought all hope was lost as Moses was about to die. Joshua had always been with Moses all along their journey, he saw the faithfulness of God over them, and he also experienced mercy and the love of God over them as God chosen people. God was faithful in taking care of them right from the beginning of the exit from Egypt until that very moment that Moses was about to die.
Are you in a situation right now that you think that all hope is lost, or are you thinking that the Lord is longer with you in your journey of life, let me assure you that the Lord is with you because He said in John 3:16 that for God so love the world that He gave His only Son Jesus to die for you and I. If the Lord had no plan for your life then sending His Son to die for you would not had taken place in the first place. And because of His love for us all He also said n Heb 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.”
No matter what you are going through right now, you are not alone; God is saying to you “Never will I forsake you”. You may be walking through the valley of the shadow of death in your health, in your marriage, in your studies, at your work place, in your finances, or experiencing the heat of any crisis, I want you to be courageous and remember that the Lord Jesus Christ is with you in all your trials and struggles. He will surely pull you through it all and He will bring you into your victory if only you can just wait on Him a little longer. Help is on the way, He will never forsake you.
When Jesus Christ was going through His struggles and agonies during His death at the cross for us all, He cried and said “Why has God forsaken him” (Matt. 27:46), but we all know that God did not forsake Him. If God did not forsake Jesus Christ during His death then God has not forsaken you, He is with you in whatever situation that is before you right now. Just remember His love for you, and Hold on to Him. The Lord is not through with you yet.
